Marlana Harrison
Systems Engineer
I have been at Envision since:
January 2022
Hobbies, activities, or interests:
Outdoorsy pursuits: kayaking (whitewater, fresh, and ocean), fishing, hiking, veggie gardening, reading Sci-fi and Fantasy books.
Interesting story or fact about me:
I grew up as a (sorta) farm kid, with a pony, geese, dog & cat. But my father and brothers are all engineers (electrical, software, and mechanical). I was a member of 4-H for 8 years and then volunteered for another 5 years in the horse program. As a teen, I competed in horse knowledge team competitions at the national level twice. Then I coached the MA state team for an additional 2 years (similar to college bowl competitions). I also competed in rodeos as a teen, and worked with my future-husband at a horse training farm when I was 18.
Professional summary:
In 2008 I decided to re-invent my career and focus on IT services, building on my experience as an end-user. In the intervening years, I have worked to expand my knowledge of desktops, servers, networking, and all the innumerable changes to technology.
